At Outcomes Therapy, we are proud to offer UltraMIST Therapy, an FDA-cleared, non-contact ultrasound wound care treatment now available to patients in Austin, San Antonio, and the surrounding communities.
UltraMIST uses low-frequency ultrasound waves delivered through a gentle saline mist to promote healing in chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. The device never touches the wound directly, making it a completely painless treatment. Unlike surface-level wound dressings, the sound waves penetrate into and below the wound bed to address the root barriers that prevent healing: bacteria, chronic inflammation, and poor blood flow.
What makes Outcomes Therapy different is that UltraMIST is a service we offer by itself or with our other services. Every visit may be availed with a full hour of skilled physical therapy alongside the treatment. And we bring it all directly to you, whether at home, in assisted living, a senior living community, or a post-acute care setting, three or more times per week, as clinically appropriate.
More care. Better healing. Stronger patients.

UltraMIST is an FDA-cleared wound care treatment that uses low-frequency ultrasound delivered through a saline mist to promote healing. It is non-contact, painless, and designed for chronic and hard-to-heal wounds.
You may be a good candidate if your wound has not improved after 30 or more days of standard wound care, if less than 50% of the wound area has reduced with standard treatment, or if traditional debridement methods are too painful or not safe for you.
Sessions typically take between 3 and 20 minutes depending on the size of the wound. Every UltraMIST visit at Outcomes Therapy may also be availed with a full hour of skilled physical therapy.
Treatment is most effective when delivered two to three times per week or more. Our team comes directly to you so frequency is never limited by transportation.
Yes, available for patients with Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Coverage eligibility is determined individually based on diagnosis and insurance criteria.
